I am an experienced educator at both the postsecondary and secondary levels. My passion for the humanities was sparked in college, leading to a tenure-track university position. Seeking a more immersive teaching experience, I transitioned to a private boarding school, where I combined academics, mentorship, athletics, and music. Now, as a certified StoryPathing™ coach, I help others discover, develop, and perform their personal narratives to illustrate who they really are.

The only personal story as powerful as the one we tell ourselves is the one we ourselves tell.  I became interested in personal narrative while teaching Homer’s Odyssey for many years.  It was later when I found myself working for the public as an office manager in a small construction company that a particular personal narrative took on urgency: my own.  In an unfamiliar professional environment, I had difficulty making sense of myself, let alone allowing others to make sense of me. Through a process of self-discovery and building a personal narrative, I learned that, whether educator or office-worker, I was the same person, just in a different setting.  Through an entity founded in 2023, Odyssey Coaching Group, I currently help others in my practice to discover, create, and perform their own story in interpersonal environments to communicate continuity, authenticity, value, and worth.
